CV sample from DESI DR1
Wen Hou
We identified 412 CVs as well as 21 related binaries from the 1.8 million stellar sources in the DESI DR1 Milky Way Survey (MWS) catalog, among which 76 are newly discovered CVs. Based on spectroscopic features, photometric variability, and locations on the Hertzsprung–Russell diagram, we classified the newly identified CV systems into DNe, NLs, magnetic CV, and AM CVn, with several further subdivisions including SU UMa, WZ Sge, VY Scl, IPs and Polars. The dataset also includes information such as period, distance, and absolute magnitude. The CSV-format catalog includes 14 columns: Targetid, Name, RA, DEC, Subtype, Period, Gmag, Gmag_err, BP_RP, Dist, Dist_err, ebv, Ab_Gmag, Ab_Gmag_err.
