Strongly lensed supernovae and quasars catalog
Jiang Dong ; Yiping Shu
The “lensed_sn_mock.fits" file is a strongly lensed supernovae mock catalog from the paper "Forecast of strongly lensed supernovae rates in the China Space Station Telescope surveys" (arxiv: 2407.10470) and contains ≈ 64,000 lens systems, corresponding to the expected number of lensed supernova events across the full sky per year with intrinsic peak i-band magnitude brighter than 31.5 mag. Descriptions of all the columns of the fits file are available in the paper (arxiv: 2407.10470). Using the same simulation pipeline, we also generated a mock catalog of strongly lensed quasars. We used the same lensing galaxy VDFs as for the strongly lensed SNe mock catalog, and used the redshift-dependent quasar luminosity function from Oguri & Marshall (2010, MNRAS, 405, 2579). The resulting “lensed_qso_mock.fits” contains 580,000 systems, corresponding to the expected number of lensed quasar events across the full sky with intrinsic peak i-band magnitude brighter than 31.5 mag. Columns of this FITS file are similar to those in lensed_sn_mock.fits.
