WWT Guided Tour “Dark and Quiet Sky”
Ziqi Cui
The light pollution has had a great impact on star gazing and astronomy observations. Recently, a new crisis has come - Starlink satellites. This tour/video introduces basic knowledges about light pollution, demonstrates the simulation of the disturbance of Starlink on observations, aiming to raise more awareness of protecting the dark and quiet night sky, so that we can savor the beauty of the starry night. To open the WWT tours, please install the software first. The latest version is available at: "https://worldwidetelescope.org/". The two videos are screen records of the tours.
