The Einstein Probe (EP), a pioneering international space mission launched in January 2024, is revolutionizing our exploration of high-energy transient phenomena in the universe. Since launch, EP has already unveiled unprecedented cosmic events—from mild relativistic jets in supernovae, to intermediate-mass black holes, and to elusive previously unseen types of X-ray transients—opening new frontiers in time-domain and multi-messenger astronomy. As we mark two years of successful science operations, we think that it is a right time to convene an in-person workshop for all members of the EP science team, our collaborative partners, and EP users from China, Europe, and the broader global community. The meeting is aimed to showcase EP’s early discoveries, to discuss about the scientific results, to foster collaborations, and to explore new scientific opportunities in the years to come. Therefore, we are pleased to announce the “Einstein Probe Science Workshop 2026”––the first conference on EP science for the entire EP science team, collaborators, and general EP users––to be held on November 9-13, 2026, in Hangzhou, one of the most scenic and historic cities in China. The conference venue sits right in the heart of the famous West Lake scenic area. The conference will include the following themes: Mission & instrumentation, science operations, data analysis Extragalactic fast transients Supermassive & intermediate-mass black holesCompact objects in the Milky Way and beyond Multi-messenger astrophysics Observatory sciences (Solar system objects, stars & stellar flares, galaxies & clusters of galaxies, supernova remnants, large-scale diffuse emission, and more) Presentations:invited talks, contributed talks, and posters.We cordially invite our science team members, members of collaborative teams, and other EP users to join this event.
