Short-term Visibility Prediction Tool

The Einstein Probe Short-term Visibility Prediction Tool is designed to predict the Short-term visibility of EP observation for the specified target and time period. The Solar aspect angle constraints are 94.5° for ToO-NOM, and 65° for ToO-EX / ToO-MM, respectively. The Solar and Moon constraints, Earth elevation angle constraints, Bright earth elevation angle constraints, and South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) are applied to calculate the target visibility in 10s time interval:

  1. Solar aspect angle (ToO-NOM) > 94.5°
  2. Solar aspect angle (ToO-EX / ToO-MM) > 65°
  3. Moon aspect angle > 10°
  4. Earth elevation angle > 8°
  5. Bright earth elevation angle > 35°
