  • article-nadc国际天文学联合会（IAU）第30届大会圆满召开
    来自世界89个国家和地区的3000多名与会者参加了会议，其中包括近100名新闻界人士。这些数字使它成为有史以来组织的最大的IAU大会之一。
    这使IAU的国家会员总数达到83个国家。   在闭幕式上，大会还批准了1248名新个人会员加入IAU，使其个人会员总数超过13500名。
    提案B2:国际天体参考系的第三次实现。 提案B3:对历史天文数据的保存、数字化和科学探索。 提案B4:重新命名哈勃定律。   所有五项提案均被大会接受。
    不过对于提案B4 –将Hubble定律重新命名为Hubble-Lemaitre定律，还需要请所有IAU会员在2018年内进行电子投票，以确保更广泛的参与决策。
